Claire de Montardy was born at Fontainebleau in 1965. A graduate of the School of Visual Communication in Paris, she worked first as a graphic designer at Carré Noir then mounted in the Northern department of Visual Identity for packaging company, before settling as an artist author 1995. It has, in addition to graphic design, worked in illustration for advertising and the press, and has taught ten years at the university and private schools. She has also trained in communication and personal development. 

She has exhibited since 1999, but it was only later that she understood that her way was the literary painting and sculpture, incorporating his own poetry. She currently lives and works near the Mediterranean where she has her gallery in the old Agde. She was selected by the Site of Craftsmanship.
